The Path Not Yet Chronicled...

Tue Jul 7, 2009, 10:10 PM
  • Mood: Satisfied
  • Listening to: the Diablo 2 soundtrack
  • Watching: cutscenes from Diablo 2 (...well, I WAS...)
  • Playing: Diablo 2 (again, I WAS...)
  • Eating: Doritoes
  • Drinking: green tea!
Okay, so...I just re-re-re-re-installed Diablo 2 on my laptop, and I'm re-re-re-re-hooked on that game...yet again... :D

And as I was watching the first cutscene (the one BEFORE you even get to the start menu for the first time), I thought "hey, why not write something in the Diablo universe (or univarse, as my mind put it comically enough ;))?" That's when I remembered my semi-old story that fell along those lines.

So, after toiling about until I had Marius' lines right (as well as the cloaked figure's), I finally wrote up the prologue to Diablo 2. Thus, I reach this point in my mental self-debate: should I post it alongside the rest of what story I had written (not to mention hopefully getting enough of a self-nudge in the shoulder to keep writing it :D), or will I let it fade into the obscurity of shadows that I call my external hard drive?

...Since asking myself this kind of stuff gets me nowhere, I pose such a question to you, my fellow brain-eaters.

An extra note: I was debating the same exact thing for my Sonic the Hedgehog fic as well (seriously, what is with me and this video game throwback phase? XD); even though I have it posted on FanFiction.net, the fanbase there has become quite desolate...so, I will leave it's fate up to you as well, fellow brain-eaters.

Remember: all is well that ends with zombies. :)

I am simply a humble, 20-year-old-ish (emphasis on the "ish") author/writer/3D animator/graphics designer/nerd/DM/creator of worlds.

...Okay, that's quite a mouthful, I know...but bear with me here! :D

And regardless of the rather foul/obscene language I am fully capable of using (I make sure I don't ALL the time, obviously. ;) ) as evident thanks to my occasional rant, I'm an all-around good guy.
